ONYX Detailing is a mobile automotive detailing business serving Houston, Atascocita and the surrounding Greater Houston area in Texas. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
When you book with us, contact us, or visit our website, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, the address where the service takes place, details about your vehicle, your booking and payment details, and any messages you send us. If you message us on Instagram or Facebook, we receive whatever your profile and message contain. Our website also collects basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view.
2. Why we use it
To schedule and perform your service, confirm and remind you of appointments, take payment, answer your questions, keep business and tax records, improve our services and our website, and — where you have opted in — send you offers.
3. Text messages
If you give us your phone number you may receive texts about your booking, such as confirmations, reminders and arrival updates. Consent to marketing texts is not required to book. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell or share your phone number or your consent with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Email
We send booking-related email as part of the service. Marketing email is only sent if you opt in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
5. Photos of your vehicle
We photograph vehicles before and after service for quality control and for marketing on our website and social media. We do not publish license plates, and we do not publish your name or address. If you would rather we did not use your vehicle, just tell us before or during your appointment, or email us afterwards and we will remove it.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers who help us run the business — our booking and customer management platform, our payment processor, our email and text providers, our website host and analytics tools, the advertising platforms we use, and our accountant. We may also share information where the law requires it, or if the business is sold or transferred.
7. How long we keep it
We keep customer and job records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations, and marketing contact details until you ask us to stop. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. Card payments are handled by a secure payment provider and we never store your full card number. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
If you are a Texas resident, you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may complain to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights. If you live in another state with similar rights, contact us and we will honor them where the law requires.
10. Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
11. Other websites
Our site and social profiles link to other websites we do not control. This policy does not cover them.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always posted here with the date it was last updated.
